Forefront is a family-run utility and site contractor, founded in 2023 by DJ and Sarah Jones for cities and commercial GCs who need the paperwork of a big firm and the hustle of a small one.

Three years in, we've completed more than $11M of work for cities, GCs, and developers across northern Utah: 25+ projects, 12+ cities, and the call-backs keep coming. The number we give you on the bid is the number you pay. No back-charges, no surprises.

We run the company on three rules: communication is the key to success, housekeeping is the key to profit, and service to others is the key to happiness. They show up on every jobsite and in every bid room, which is why municipal engineers keep asking us back.

Careers at Forefront

Four tens, Monday through Thursday, with steady benefits and year-round work in and around Cache Valley. We hire people who want to move up: Laborers into Operators, Operators into Foremen, and Foremen into Superintendents.

  • Operators: excavator, dozer, loader, skid steer
  • Laborers: pipe, backfill, finish grade
  • CDL drivers: dump truck, Class A / B, home every night
  • Foremen / supers: run a crew, own the inspector relationship
